Established in the 1850s, Portland Chinatown is one of Portland's oldest distinctive neighborhoods. In recent years the Portland Chinatown has been added some new features. It was named a National Historic District in 1989. Chinatown's colorful gate is located at West Burnside street and NW 4th Avenue.
