This a sad day in the U.S. Even worse, I could not find this in the Sacramento Bee, neither did I hear it on local radio and TV news broadcasts. A friend told me this last night at dinner and I found a very short headline on page 1 of today's Wall Street Journal which reported that police could stop us even if no crimes were alleged [Hiibel v. Sixth Judicial District Court of Nevada].
I wonder if California is one of the other 18 states that has this law on its books.
I really don't understand why most media decide not to report this. This to me is a huge invasion of privacy. I couldn't find it on the NY Times web site and took me a while find it on Washington Post's. (Guy M Wong, June 22, 2004)
