PENALTIES

1. If player A mistakenly declares that he has completed his game and another player subsequently shows or throws out his hand, player A shall pay each of the other player half of the maximum points for the game.
2. A player loses his turn to do chi, pong, or Kong, if another player has already taken a tile from the wall.
3. If a player takes too many or too few tiles, he may continue to play but is not allowed to make up the correct number of tiles. Thus, he will not be able to complete his game.
4. A player whose discarded tile is used by the winning player to complete his game pays the winner double his score.
5. It is customary that the player whose discarded tile is used by the winning player to complete his game should also pay for the other players, if his discarded tile violates one of the following rules:
    a. If the winner has a flush suit with three sets already exposed, no tile of the same suit should be discarded.
    b. If the winner has a suit of four winds with three wind sets already exposed, no tile of the fourth wind should    be discarded,
    c. If the winner has a suit of double twins with one twin and one sequence already exposed, no tile in that sequence should be discarded.
